Abstract
The horrific sex crimes against children of the 1990s and 2000s became an occasion for improving access to criminal record information and enhancing integration of diverse criminal jurisdictions on both sides of the Atlantic. This article focuses on E.U. efforts to prevent individuals convicted of sex offences obtaining employment in positions affording close contacts with children.
